About us
The Founder
About us? In 1978, Katu Greene received six quarts of oysters from his dock boss at Mason Dixon. Traveling around the Tri-Cities selling them, Wayne discovered a passion for seafood that would grow into a lifelong venture. Starting from his garage, he expanded from oysters to a full range of seafood products. By 1980, he purchased the current State Street property and the rest is history.
Over the years, Wayne built a Bristol institution, expanding into retail, wholesale, and opening restaurants in Bristol, Kingsport, and Greenville. His wholesale business delivered to five surrounding states. In March 2020, Wayne passed away, leaving a heartfelt wish to keep the business in the family. His eldest son, Marty, and wife Krista, moved to Bristol to carry on his legacy.
Under their care, the business has flourished. Marty and Krista attribute their success to the Lord’s blessings and express deep gratitude to the customers who have supported the Greene family for generations.
